All LT thrusters are ported on three sides making access for air connections easy to accomplish regardless of mounting configuration! They are available with or without a variety of control packages. Use our thrusters in your automation with Your own actuation controls using just our thermal controlling power supplies or with our Complete controller packages including our most popular intelligent “Spectrum Series” Ultra modular system controller with remote actuation cables and the ability to "handshake" with your own system controls. We have ALL the types of control options required with 24 years of expertise!
These precision thrusters/actuators are unlike any air cylinder available and have features that include a rigid tool mount design with adjustable micro-stop or used with our Velocity and Depth Control Unit (VCU). All units come equipped with flow controls for individual stroke speed adjustment.
Pressing forces range from 0-1400 lbs depending on model chosen.

All Sonitek Thermal Linear Thrusters/Actuators are available with these standard features and additional options:

KEY Features:

  • 4.9” stroke length adjustable from 0- to full (Longer stroke available if required)
  • Dual flow controls for up/down head speed
  • Multi-sided porting for easy access
  • Rugged head assembly with non-rotation designs.
  • Micro-adjustable positive stop standard (VCU optional)
  • Pre-lubricated cylinder is suitable for oil free use
  • Virtually maintenance-free as all moving parts are mounted in bushings and/or bearings.
  • Viton Seals for high temperature applications
  • Sheet metal guard painted heavy duty.
  • Quick Change tooling options!

  • Velocity and Distance Control option using Sonitek’s Proprietary optional VCU Device (Velocity & Distance Control Unit) Patent Pending.
  • Pneumatic control remote package kit with 24V solenoid valve, filter, gauge and regulator.
  • Temperature Controlling Power Supplies (Sonitek)
  • Quick change tooling mounts with precision dovetails & gibs for upper tooling
  •  ¾” standard tool shanks
  •  “Spectrum Series” microprocessor based system controller for intelligent automation/actuation.
  • Remote actuation cables in any length.
  • Longer strokes (any) or shorter too.
  • Custom tooling and Guard packages available (Requires RFQ)

Sonitek Thermal thrusters are cleverly designed to help you reduce the cost of both implementation and actual production in your assembly and pressing operations!
These small compact presses are ideal when precision matters for small crimping, heat sealing, bending, forming, pressing, swaging, riveting, burnishing or any other task that may require the use of small thrusters/actuators for your production floor! They take up very little space!
Since 1989, Sonitek has produced high quality innovative and technological advances into the field of secondary assembly operations. Sonitek is the Market Leader for innovative Heat Staking and Sealing Systems and Tooling.
