TS-100 - Heatstaking Arbor Press

The Sonitek TS-100 series hand operated press is ideal for low volume production runs or for prototyping applications. The 100 series press is available with a 340 watt tapped (1/4-28) probe. Our temperature controller is a state of the art microprocessor based, auto-tuning, P.I.D based unit. The Sonitek 100 series Thermal Press is an ideal assembly press no plastics house should be without.

Heat Staking Processes:

Insertion

Standard tips available for inserts up to 3/8" or M10

Staking

Custom platens available to stake several studs/tabs simultaneously.

Degating

Heated sharp blades with beveled edge can cut gate flush to -.010

Date Coding

Use type holders or multi-wheel numbering for permanent part I.D.

Complete Probe Assembly

This option includes all the necessary items for the probe. It includes one of the selected probe styles that work with the TS-100, the adapter disc, insulator disc, and attachment knob.

Post Cooling

Post cooling was developed over 30 years ago by Sonitek and is one of the most important features for providing a reliable and repeatable process for the heat staking of thermoplastic materials, especially materials with high melting temperatures or applications which may have a spring retention requirement.
