Shipping Policy

At Sonitek, we are committed to providing clear and efficient shipping solutions for all our products. This policy outlines the terms for shipping eStore orders and larger products shipped via freight. By placing an order with Sonitek, you agree to the terms below.

1. eStore Orders

  • Carrier and Shipping Speed: eStore orders are shipped via our preferred carrier (usually UPS). Customers can select their preferred shipping speed during checkout. Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on the shipping address provided.
  • Order Tracking: The eStore system automatically sends an email with tracking information once your order ships.
  • Customs and Duties: For international orders, Sonitek does not pay customs or duty charges. However, our eStore software may provide the option to prepay these fees during checkout.
  • Shipping Insurance: Sonitek does not provide shipping insurance for eStore orders. Customers are encouraged to arrange it if desired.
  • Incoterms: Orders are shipped under the Incoterm ExWorks. Customers are responsible for shipping charges, customs clearance, duties, and taxes.

2. Larger Products (Freight Shipments)

  • Freight Carrier Selection: Customers are responsible for selecting a freight carrier. Sonitek does not arrange freight directly but can accommodate freight pickups by the customer’s preferred carrier.
  • Lead Time: Please allow three (3) business days after receipt of the Bill of Lading (BOL) for order processing. We strive to ship as quickly as possible.
  • Crating Charge: A crating charge applies to freight shipments and is quoted during the sales process. We recommend keeping the crate for a few days in case the machine needs to be returned during the initial setup.
  • Special Freight Services: If you require lift gates, 24-hour notification, or residential delivery, please inform your freight carrier in advance. Additional charges may apply for these services.
  • Shipping Insurance: Customers are responsible for insuring freight shipments with their selected carrier.
  • Order Tracking: Customers must obtain tracking information directly from their chosen freight carrier.
  • Acceptance of Delivery: Someone must be present at the delivery location to accept freight shipments. Please ensure that the receiving area is prepared to accommodate the shipment.
  • Weights and Dimensions: Sonitek provides shipment weights and dimensions for accurate freight quotes.
  • Bill of Lading (BOL): A completed BOL must be submitted to Sonitek before shipment processing.

3. Title and Risk of Loss

  • All shipments—eStore and freight—are EXW (Incoterms 2020). Title and risk of loss pass to Buyer when the goods leave Sonitek’s loading dock.

4. Freight Incoterms

For freight shipments, Sonitek ships under the Incoterm EXW (Ex Works). This means:

  • Sonitek is responsible for making the goods available at its facility for pickup.
  • The customer assumes all costs and risks associated with transportation once the shipment leaves Sonitek’s loading dock.

5. Additional Terms

  • Damaged Shipments: Inspect shipments upon delivery and report any damages to the carrier and Sonitek immediately. Retain all packaging materials for claims.
  • Returns: For details on returns and refunds, please refer to our Refund Policy.
  • Compliance: All shipments comply with applicable international trade laws and export regulations.
  • Force Majeure: Sonitek is not liable for delays or failures to ship due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, acts of government, labor strikes, or other unforeseen events.
